Embrace Excellence
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Sales to lead and execute our commercial growth strategy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue, managing key customer relationships, and leading a high performing sales team. This role requires strong strategic thinking, hands on-leadership, excellent presentation skills, inclusive leadership and collaborative skills, and a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, customer focused environment.
- The Head of Sales is a key member of the Taiwan management team, with expertise in sales, strong business acumen, with a talent for forming strong business partnerships. The role will contribute to the formulation of overall market company strategy and be jointly responsible for achieving agreed company objectives.
- This role is responsible for developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans to enhance competitive position in the market and to achieve the company’s financial targets.
- Managing a team of more than 30 team members within the commercial function for a high performance to exceed company goals
- Building customer relationships, understanding market trends and co-planning with the wider Taiwan leadership team, as well as implementing marketing strategy are also included in the duties of the Head of Sales.
- Closely co-work with the Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain team to deliver and execute strategic and operational plans.
Make an Impact
Sales Strategy & Execution
Identify growth opportunities across channels and set/ monitor KPIs, sales targets and forecasts to ensure a strong performance
Establish annual sales objectives and strategies in coordination with the company's business plan to deliver the set sales targets
Plan and manage the sales budget, planning and profitability analysis
Responsible for the resources arrangement and control the overall sales expenses effectively
Market Insight & Strategic Planning
Prepare mid to long term account plans and effective process and cost controls
Provide market insights and customer feedback to the Market Managing Director and Taiwan Leadership team to shape product and promotional strategies
Understand the competition and market trends to identify business opportunities
Analyse and report on account and product performance, customer profiles and competitor activities
Key Client Customer & Channel Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Negotiate major contracts and agreements to drive sustainable growth
Collaborate with key partners to develop compelling sell through focused strategies for long term growth
Collaboration
Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Finance teams in all areas including sales, profit and promotional effectiveness
Work closely with the Supply Chain to manage inventory at sufficient but efficient levels
Leadership
Lead, coach, inspire, and motivate the sales team, developing and training the team to perform all duties and exceed targets
Develop an appropriate organisational structure aligned with company strategy
Foster a high performance, inclusive and collaborative sales culture in line with company culture
Your Talent and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business (MBA or relevant Master’s degree preferred)
- 10+ years experience in managing sales operations in a consumer industry, including 5+ years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth
- Experience in managing a multi-channel business function preferred (e.g. Across wholesale, Direct to trade, on trade and off trade)
- Strong analytical, negotiation, decision making and relationship building skills with proven ability to establish excellent trade contacts and relationships
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Industry experience in luxury or multi-brand conglomerates preferred
- Experience in leading a large cross functional team (15+ min) preferred. With strong track record of ability to coach, inspire and motivate a large team with positive performance management
- Fluent in both spoken and written English and Traditional Mandarin require.
