Embrace Excellence

Within this role you will be responsible for statutory reporting and audit, Finance Services and Credit Management, as well as building and maintaining key external relationships such as with Tax authorities and banking partners. The main purpose of the role is to provide accounting support and control for all Nordic corporations. Additionally, it is to lead and support a small team, being responsible for contact with Group reporting team in Scotland, acting as local audit lead, as well as being one of the key contacts with the Assurance team in Glasgow.

Make an Impact

Reporting to the Finance and Supply Chain Director for the Nordics, the key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the delivery of accounting and transactional processes to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records. 
  • Ensure that strong financial controls are maintained.
  • Ensure annual audit is managed effectively and efficiently to meet agreed timescales and budget.
  • Accurate and timely monthly financial reporting to shareholders & banks, preparation and filing of statutory returns and accounts and VAT and corporation tax returns.
  • Ownership of audit board and the increased focus on internal controls in general
  • Management of the Nordics Accounting team

 

Your Talent and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will have a university degree or similar qualification within Finance / Accounting. You will demonstrate good technical competence and knowledge of accounting rules, based on broad operational accounting experience.

 

Due to our Headquarters being based in Scotland, you are required to be fluent in English, with previous experience leading and motivating a team.  Advanced Excel skills are essential, with experience working with SAP, experience coordinating an audit process and experience in FMCG industry all advantageous. You will operate with a proactive and dynamic approach, leading process improvements while embracing change and innovation, engaging others to do the same.
