Position Summary

Reporting to the Regional Manager, Distributor Markets (SEAPAC), the Area Manager manages all the assigned channel(s) in designated distributor markets and ensuring the delivery of commercial and marketing objectives. The key pillars of the position include Strategic Formulation, Distributor Programming, Brand Building and Price Strategy. The Area Manager will also play a key role in supporting the Regional Manager to shape and align distributor management across the SEA-PAC region.

Job Description

  • Formulate the strategic direction for the assigned territory across relevant channels to support brand development for all Edrington Group's brands.
  • Communicate the Strategic Direction and key priorities to Distributor Teams at the local level. Instil belief and create buy-in throughout distributor teams.
  • Build exceptional business relationships, drive brand focus, manage performance and delivery, and provide leading customer service.
  • Effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (Distributor partners, SEAPAC Marketing team, Finance and Operations) to contribute towards the business objectives for the region.
  • Develop, execute, and participate in trade and consumer activations with distributors against brand strategy and goals.
  • Maintain a sharp awareness of competitive activity and formulate the local pricing strategy.
  • Deliver against the allocation strategy, reviewing forecast and shipment plans, timely upload into SAP-APO.
  • Deliver monthly commercial reports with distributors on market trend analysis, insights, ad-hoc reporting and business reviews.

Skills and Experience

  • Min. 5 years’ experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry, Premium Consumer Goods, Wine, Spirits or Luxury brands would be highly desirable.
  • Distributor Management experience is required.
  • Motivated self-starter, positive, resourceful, articulate, solution-minded, strong organisational and budget management skills, charismatic, polished with strong commercial acumen.
  • Able to interact across a broad network of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written, verbal and public speaking presentation.
  • Constantly in tune with latest industrial trends and challenges.
  • Experience and/or understanding of on/off premise environment.
  • Knowledge of syndicated data (Salesforce, Power BI, SAP-APO).
  • Strong Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Travelling is required (up to 30% annually).
