As the Area Sales Manager, you will lead the execution of the company’s channel strategy through the leadership of a channel focused team, to ensure the delivery of best-in-class commercial excellence objectives that are aligned with Edrington’s ambitions for our portfolio of premium and prestige brands within this important brand building channel.

Commercial Responsibilities
•    Lead team to deliver excellence in execution in the areas of distribution, brand visibility and brand activations in the priority channel segments
•    Lead and coach team members to execute the commercial strategy in line with the respective distribution channels to extract optimal distribution, volume and value growth aligned to annual targets
•    Lead the effective collaboration with channel level distributors to ensure timely and effective activation of brand and trade campaigns
•    Establish, maintain, and enhance distributor relationship management at a local level to effectively manage a collaborative and high performing distribution network
•    Collaborate with the respective brand and trade marketing teams to execute the commercial and brand strategy for the identified channels
•    Accountable for the effective implementation of trade investment and ROI
•    Regularly review best practice to continue raising the standards of execution
•    Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts

 

Operational & Reporting Responsibilities:
•    Consolidate, review and feedback market intelligence and consumer trends
•    Collaborate with Sales Managers to achieve optimal commercial performance at a local level through the effective utilization and prioritization of inventory and investment
•    Support the management of inventory and supply allocation to key customers
•    Support sales team with sales and trade investment related processes
•    Manage potential business risks and support the implementation of compliant operational processes

Your Talent and Skills

•    Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a commercial role in the On & Off channel
•    Experience in managing teams
•    Distributor management experience
•    Good written and verbal English and Mandarin communication skills, with the ability to present to key stakeholders
•    Sound commercial acumen with the ability to adopt and execute a brand-centric approach
•    Able to build and sustain trust and influences with others through proactively managing stakeholder relationships
•    Possess flair, experience, and a track record in executing quality brand activations
•    Enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-moving and international environment
•    Energetic, self-motivated and ability to handle multiple / diverse tasks
•    Agile thinker with the drive for winning in a challenging market
•    Able to work independently and responsibly
•    Positive and resilient mind-set
•    Possess sound project management capabilities with a meticulous eye for detail
•    Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Office, PowerPoint and Excel
