Embrace Excellence

This position reports into the Head of Finance China and will be directly responsible for ensuring the “right numbers, on time, with no surprises” for local, regional and global reporting and planning. Provide financial planning and analysis for the China market and ensure quality business partnering with commercial, marketing and finance teams. 

 

Key Result Areas

•    Accurate business planning and quality management reporting
•    Key contributor to the annual 3-year planning cycle and strategic planning meeting
•    Management of 2 team members supporting the business analysis for China
•    Providing proactive support and challenge across the various different commercial sales channels such as traditional trade, e-commerce, D2C and co-owned retail. 
•    Providing information to support commercial decision making and enabling challenge to key business leaders
•    Continuing to develop reporting and analytics to drive best in class regional commercial and financial reporting

 

Make an Impact

Business Partnering / Commercial Finance Support
•    Develop and maintain dashboards in support of strategic targets
•    Support decision making through the development of financial models, investment tools and key financial metric analyse
•    Drive strong team engagement and a culture of support and challenge across all areas of the business, including brand investment and overheads
•    Strong business partner to Head of Finance China and support in any projects or ad-hoc work as required
•    Support of sales and marketing, provide timely reporting and analyse to manage and drive investments
•    Preparing budgets / forecasts / month-end actuals on time and to a high-quality level
•    Price simulations and price management

 

Accounting, Controlling and Reporting
•    Processing month end journals for management reporting
•    Work closely with the financial accounting team to ensure consistency in mapping / reporting
•    Gain clarity from key responsible persons on major variances from budget / forecast
•    Support the creation and maintenance of monthly reporting dashboards
•    Review and analyse monthly financial performance
•    Close liaison with regional, business unit and Global Group finance personnel

 

Leadership
•    Line manager with the responsibility to coach, develop & appraise
•    Experience of leading change management projects 
•    Driver of new initiatives, automation, and efficiencies within the business.

Your Talent and Skills

The preferred qualifications for this role are as follows:
·    University degree in Finance / Accounting
·    At least 5 years of relevant business, finance, commercial corporate planning experiences 
·    Experience in Wines & Spirits, FMCG, or Retail sector would be preferred
·    Strong analytical and business modelling skills
·    Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
·    Solid technical competence and knowledge of accounting rules
·    Experience using several systems (SAP experience essential, BW / BI / SalesForce desirable)
