Position Summary

The role of Private Client Relationship Manager is to manage the acquisition, engagement, relationship building and to establish lifetime consumer value with our highly respected and privileged clients.  The key responsibilities of this role involve amplifying the brand message through high touch and face to face engagements with private clients to provide them with an experiential journey with the brand and our prestigious products. The role could either based in Shanghai or in Guangzhou/Shenzhen. 


Illustrative Dimensions

  • Operate as part of the local marketing team and deliver brand building relationships with private clients.
  • Deliver on the HNWI recruitment strategy and create opportunities to network and build rapport with potential clients for recruitment.
  • Organizing corporate and partner events together with the Malt Marketing managers.
  • Responsible for retaining and communicating with existing database in an organized and respectful manner.
  • Manage the full range of brand assets to enhance each private client’s brand experience – through communication, prestige product management, access to brand experts, selected experiential opportunities and through the development of customised and personalised innovations.
  • Facilitate as BA in all direct private consumer programs, dinners, product launches and events.
  • Meet the assigned targets for engagement, response rate and consumer recommendation & advocacy; as well as capture of behavioural data and individual intelligence, under the restrictions of global and local consumer data protection legislation.

Key Result Areas

  • Meets annual targets and KPIs (both brand building and commercial)
  • Build an engagement plan and conduct set number of consumer engagement events and product launches per calendar year.
  • Receive consumer feedback and identifies areas of improvement to further build capability of the role.

Job Description

  1. A key user and contributor to the new Consumer Relationship Management platform and ways of working, including a focus on consumer profile management, segmentation and communication
  2. Fully proficient with all aspects of The Malts brand(Glenrothes & Highland park): able to be a brand advocate and conduct private tastings and education for client base.
  3. Able to provide product and pricing information by clarifying business partners request and client requests; selecting appropriate information; forwarding information; answering questions
  4. Aligns with the marketing calendar and is consistent/ cohesive in brand voice and all brand communications (including, WeChat, SMS, email).
  5. Actively recruit new consumers via networking and our events, etc
  6. Works within the pricing strategy for the DTC channel and Prestige range set out by the Regional Managing Director and Head of marketing.
  7. Coordinate & Collects payments
  8. Achieves sales operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; implementing change

Skills and Experience

The preferred qualifications for the role are as follows:

  • 5+ years working experience preferably in beverages, hospitality, or luxury marketing / retail.

  • Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin; fluency in English is a plus
