Embrace Excellence

The Creative & Content Manager will be responsible for building the content strategy and create targeted and locally relevant content for the brands across social, media and digital platforms, with the overarching objective to build the luxury brand equity and recruit new consumers and drive commercial success.  They will also assist with content creation when required for the press, events and marketing teams.

 

The Creative & Content Manager will report directly to The Macallan Marketing Manager and dotted report to Estate Brands Marketing Manager, to ensure that the global assets are relevant to the Chinese market and consumers.

Make an Impact

Content Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and manage a content strategy aligned with the brand’s vision, ensuring consistency in visual language and messaging across all touchpoints.  
  • Create compelling, culturally relevant content (e.g., social media, press releases, product narratives, promotional materials) that resonates with the Chinese market while maintaining global brand integrity.  
  • Adapt and localize global assets for regional channels, ensuring trans-creation preserves the original intent and quality.  

 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams (PR, Digital, Brand, Education) and agency partners to produce innovative creative strategies and content.  

 

Market Insight & Performance

  • Monitor content performance (engagement, PR value, conversions) and provide data-driven recommendations for optimization.  

Brand Stewardship

  • Craft narratives that highlight brand heritage, craftsmanship, and unique selling propositions, tailored to Chinese consumer preferences.  

Your Talent and Skills

  • 6–8 years in content creation, preferably within an agency or in-house role for luxury/spirits brands. 
  • Portfolio showcasing expertise in digital, print, video (long/short form), AI, and 3D animation is required.
  • Exceptional creative judgment and aesthetic sensibility, with a keen eye for visual detail and storytelling.  
  • Proficiency in Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC), including experiential and digital content.
  • Deep understanding of luxury/consumer trends and cultural nuances in China.
