The Commercial Analyst serves as a strategic data partner to the commercial organization, transforming complex market and sales data into actionable business intelligence. By analysing market trends, channel performance, and sales metrics, this role generates critical insights that shape strategic planning, accurate forecasting, and revenue growth initiatives.
Key to success is the ability to integrate multi-source data, collaborate across functions, and deliver compelling data narratives to stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines razor-sharp analytical skills with business acumen to drive data-informed decisions that create competitive advantage.
Make an Impact
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data integration and management initiatives
• Assist in building and maintaining a high-quality data warehouse using sources such as IWSR, wholesaler reports, and other data sources
• Generate regular sales performance and market reports to support business needs
• Provide analytical support for business forecasting and budget planning
• Assist in strategic business planning through data preparation and scenario analysis
• Deliver project-based analytics for commercial initiatives and planning
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across internal and external reporting systems
• Support the development of dashboards and tools to enhance business visibility
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide data-driven insights
• Assist the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) with administrative and assigned tasks
1) Data Integration & Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to centralize and maintain a high-quality data warehouse using IWSR, wholesaler reports, CRM, and other sources.
2) Performance Analysis: Generate comprehensive sales and market performance reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
3) Strategic Planning Support: Provide analytical frameworks for business forecasting, budget planning, and scenario modelling.
4) Commercial Initiative Execution: Deliver project-based analytics (e.g., pricing strategies, market entry assessments) to support commercial objectives.
5) Data Governance: Ensure accuracy and consistency across all internal/external reporting systems and dashboards.
6) Stakeholder Engagement: Present data-driven insights in cross-functional meetings and directly support the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) with strategic and other ad hoc tasks.
7) Tool Development: Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and analytical tools to enhance business visibility and decision speed.
Your Talent and Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Experience: 3+ years in financial/commercial analysis; FMCG industry experience preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivots, complex formulas) and Power BI (DAX, data modelling).
- Experience with CRM/Sales ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP).
- Familiarity with statistical tools (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.

- Proven ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in business-level written and spoken English.
