Position Summary
This position is an important role of China travel retail market, who is assisting China account manager in delivering P&L and commercial plans for the Travel Retail customers on South China, namely: Shenzhen DF & Zhuhai DF.
The member will be responsible of building solid relationships with key contact persons of customers, based on a brand driven long term mind-set, while managing clients and marketing mix (brand advisors, trade activation) to secure operational excellence and the highest level of in-store execution.
Job Description
Together with the China Account Manager and peers, develop action plans to reach objectives in terms of turnover growth and profitability on own territory - Shenzhen & Zhuhai DF accounts.
- Developing strong professional relationships of South China customers, including merchandising team and sales team of Shenzhen DF & Zhuhai DF.
- Manage clients to ensure the highest standards of in-store execution.
- Aligned with line manager in setting customer sales targets and support retail team for incentive programs to deliver on business objectives, as well as suggest and support GTR trainer for proper training to ensure quality of brand execution.
- Gather, analyse and coordinate information and tools available (ex. passengers’ traffic, industry trends and news relevant to the market, competition watch, domestic market plans and initiatives, etc.) to become an expert on the market and its key passengers.
- Ensure a physical presence on the field close to the teams (internal and retailers), and optimal execution at the point of sale.
- Consolidate Shenzhen DF/Zhuhai DF monthly orders by working closely with clients and peers.
- Monthly reporting on performance, competitor intelligence and business environment
Key Result Areas
- Annual volume & contribution budget by Brand & SKU of Shenzhen DF & Zhuhai DF
- Manage credit & payment terms of Shenzhen DF/Zhuhai DF to agreed limits (supervised via ESPL).
- Manage A&P spending in Shenzhen DF, Zhuhai DF , in line with budgets (avoiding risk)
- Monthly high-quality reporting, including forecasts, RSP and visibility reports
- New brand & pack introductions (listing)
Skills and Experience
- Must have working experience in sales or operation function, Duty Free / Travel Retail experience is a plus.
- Windows Office proficiency
- Strong personality with highly developed interpersonal skill set , excellent relationship builder
- Must be passionate about brands and sensitive to the quality of brand execution.
- Well influencing & negotiations skills to customers
- A self-starter who leads by example
- Good in English and Mandarin
- Must be open to travel (40-50% within region) and trade entertaining.
