Position Summary

The Divisional Brand Manager (DBA) is a key part of the US Marketing team who takes pride in building great brands and will own the implementation of strategic and tactical elements for the Breakthrough Brands.

The DBM supports the Marketing Director, the Brand Manager and the Commercial teams to deliver best-in-class service, brand activation and trade execution in the brand’s priority markets.

The DBM will be responsible for planning and implementing the commercially-led, brand supported local go-to market strategies and plans, providing guidelines for account segmentation and activation, setting priorities, developing effective brand led programming, with the objective of driving recruitment into the brand through the trade.

The DBM will also be responsible for tracking the relevant metrics and qualitative feedback from the local teams, measuring against brand KPI’s to gauge performance and deliver on objectives.

  • Translate brand strategy into local consumer led platforms and programming for the local On Premise, Off Premise and Ecommerce partners, with support of local commercial team and distributors
  • Support the development, management, and execution of National marketing plans for assigned product lines by working closely with National Brand Managers (as per Proximity brands/ markets).
  • Lead the development and execution of local brand plans and activation process, from ideation and concepting to implementation, measurement and post-program analysis.
  • Develop innovative trade solutions and build relationships with external partners to ensure the brand remains in the forefront of shopper’s experience. Primary point of contact for local agency partners and field team.
  • Partner with eCommerce to connect brand strategy with digital shopper and local market insights
  • Own the S&OP and KPI reporting process and regular analysis of brand performance
  • Support financial accountability including A&P budget tracking and ROI analysis.
  • Periodically survey field team to gain insight into program and support tools effectiveness, competitive activity, etc. 
  • Partner with the local commercial team and present at distributor meetings

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, or related field
  • 2-3+ years of brand management experience in a fast-moving consumer goods industry, spirits industry a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential. Ability to work with data from multiple data sources for reporting and ad hoc analysis
  • Understanding of the three-tier distribution system, a plus
  • Enthusiastic, team-oriented, and able to work collaboratively with a variety of different teams, individuals and environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential with executive presentation skills
  • Proficiencies in problem solving and the ability to multitask are requirements with strong aptitude for time management and self-management
  • Strong financial / business / analytical acumen
  • Ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Eligible to work in the US
  • This position may require some travel as needed (up to 25-40% depending on market stage), and flexibility to be out on the field with the commercial teams when needed.
