The Commercial Finance Manager will partner with key stakeholders across the Division in evaluating current business performance while identifying any future opportunities with recommendations on course of action to Senior Management. Underpinning this will be the ensuring of our continued focus and commitment towards our strategic initiatives. The Commercial Finance Manager should have the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across various levels and functions and must be able to work in a team.
Make an Impact
- Build and foster solid business partnerships with the Commercial Team and all internal and external departments and stakeholders to drive business decisions that maximize our sales value.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Business Unit strategy and facilitation of strategic alignment with key functions.
- Drive the Divisional planning cycle and monthly/quarterly S&OP forecasting processes and ensure accuracy. Lead the Divisional S&OP process, with recommendation on course of action to Senior Leadership.
- Prepare presentations and key reporting deliverables and communications that summarize information concisely for key stakeholders. Work with Division to develop and monitor monthly results, analyse key business & financial KPIs, uncover trends and assess current / future financial risks and opportunities to drive both top line and bottom-line performance.
- Support evaluation of new business opportunities and risks through scenario modelling and other financial analysis. Speak to monthly results with relevant commentary focusing on Orders, Sales, and Inventory. Work with Commercial Team to produce forward looking views for both Divisional and Brand Profitability to feed into the consolidated US view.
- Provide ROI analysis to assess impact of programs in key selling channels, evaluating them for effectiveness and build on successful programs from a “stop, start, continue” perspective.
- Support the commercial team by collaborating on the monthly orders and allocation process to ensure needed stock for commercial programs are available for retail customers.
- Continuous collaboration with the Customer Service Representative to assist in providing white glove service to our distributor partners.
- Establish a data driven culture led by an increased emphasis and utilization of insights for better decision making; champion self-service analytics across the Division.
- Manage, mentor, and inspire the Sr. Commercial Finance Analyst.
Your Talent and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field required, MBA preferred
- Previous background experience in Finance or Accounting preferred
- Experience in Spirits/adult beverage or CPG industry preferred but not required
- Advanced MS Excel skills are required; strong knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of Financial data systems, such as TM1 and SAP systems is a must.
- Experience with Power BI is a plus but not required.
- A strategic thinker with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Data driven and goal oriented, measuring success both quantitatively and qualitatively, and understanding the importance of both
- Ability to independently drive projects and be a thought-partner with senior leaders
- Ability to analyse key trends in financial information, financial modelling and P&L management
- Great communication skills, well organized, strong project management skills, ability to multitask and be a team player
- Inspire and empower team to act with speed, agility, and accountability, enabling them to achieve excellence
