$104,800- $157,200

Position Summary

 

Our vision is to give more to our consumers through immersive consumer experiences and be the leader in exceptional brand presentation. The NY Gallery Manager and DTC Manager is at the heart of that vision and is ultimately responsible for the day-to-day operations, consumer experience and direct sales to The Macallan’s Private Clients in our New York Gallery engagement space. This individual will apply expertise in luxury retail, visual merchandizing, and private client hospitality to manage this critical brand asset. This individual will also be responsible for the set up and support the day-to-day operations of our LA Engagement space opening June 2024, while developing a blueprint for future opportunities.

 

The ideal candidate should have experience working with High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI) in the NYC/USA market or globally, have excellent relationship management and always exhibit exceptional hospitality. This role will need to express latitude in determining approaches that ensure the customer experience is at its highest level and collaborate with similar roles across the globe to share best practices and ensure there is a level of consistency and excellence. This individual will oversee all the operations and direct sales at the NY Gallery & LA engagement space and need to apply authority and collaboration in the security, operations management, financial/analytics, behavioral skills, and P&L management of this channel.

 

The role reports to Sr. Brand Manager for the Macallan in the USA and collaborates heavily with the private client relationship community in the Americas.

Job Description

 

  • Continually strive for perfection in the execution of our brand building events and engagements with private clients within the NY Gallery.
  • Liaise and support with the West Coast team on the set-up and ongoing logistical and operation needs for the new Los Angeles experiential space (opening June 2024).
  • Work with the Sr Brand Manager, Global and Regional DTC and PCRM teams to maintain and expand the global Private Client Relationship Management model in the USA.
  • Develop and manage all brand and visual merchandizing in the NY Gallery including the curation of artwork rotating every quarter. Including but not limited to artist management/contract negotiations, curation, storytelling, display, and aesthetics.
  • Responsible for management and execution of NY Office window display that connects visual merchandizing and storytelling within the NY Gallery.
  • Ensure brand and visual merchandizing is maintained and up to date from room décor, furniture, interior product display, etc. ensuring brand guidelines and DNA is always upheld and current.
  • Work with the Global merchandising team to implement new visual merchandising and ideas to evolve the Gallery experience to match the new brand identity.
  • Upkeep of the NY Gallery including cleanliness, health, safety, and security.
  • Ensure luxury service standards are upheld, hosting guest protocols are in place and excellence in Food and Beverage.
  • Ensure Ceremonies are in place for greetings, selling, personalisation and wrapping.
  • Attitude must be in line with luxury standards including confidence, language, how we want to make clients feel and interpersonal skills.
  • Manage the booking of private experiences, offerings, and execution of all experiences with respective agency parties and brand ambassadors.
  • Help build a luxury mindset and culture, developing our teams in HNWI relationship building and management.
  • Be a product and category expert with full range expression education, education on history of The Macallan and new release narratives.
  • Forecasting sales and budgeting.
  • Responsible for inventory, stock management and reconciliation for both ultra prestige stock to sell and sample stock.
  • Strategic revenue management – P&L, product, engagement space mix.

Skills and Experience

 

  • Confidence and luxury hospitality and retail skills.
  • Familiarity with the dynamics and levers to develop a successful direct-to-consumer sales channel would be an advantage.
  • Commit to non-traditional work hours and staff Gallery experiences in the evenings throughout the week.
  • An understanding of brand strategy, the luxury industry and the levers that drive both.
  • Exceptional customer service.
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with delivering commercial results.
  • Target-driven and results focused.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, written & verbal, ideally with previous international exposure.
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced and changing consumer environment.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to develop and motivate a team.
  • Comfortable working with new technologies.
  • A passion for Edrington’s brands.
  • Fluency in English language is essential.
