The Sr. Commercial Finance Analyst will partner with the Commercial Finance Manager as well as other departments to provide tools and enable local capabilities. With a focus on continuous improvement, they will identify future opportunities of financial reporting and make recommendations to support business analysis. The Sr. Commercial Finance Analyst should have the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across various levels and functions and must be able to work in a team.
Make an Impact
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager - Control States & Canada, key responsibiliites include
- Build and foster solid business relationships with the Commercial team and internal departments to become the first point of contact for analysis and reporting
- Maintain forecast files and manage phasing shifts in allocations. · Collaborate with Commercial Excellence to validate data accuracy of distributor reporting
- Own divisional data loads into financial systems during LE and Budget cycles. Ensure accuracy
- Prepare presentations and key reporting deliverables and communications that summarize information concisely for key stakeholders
- Participate in S&OP meetings; learn the business and provide commercial insights
- Conduct commercial performance analysis using varying data sources
- Collaborate with Customer Service on order management and validate order releases. Analyze and report variances including overstock/OOS potentials in a timely manner
- Own input and coding of distributor invoices · Assist in variance analysis of Price Support and A&P actuals vs. budget & forecasts
- Track price adjustments across Canadian market and assist team in maintaining pricing accuracy
- Build monthly financial reporting analysis and commentary
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and create value ensuring accuracy and consistency of financial information. Identify issues and provide recommendations for improvement
- Provide ad hoc business support and analysis
Your Talent and Skills
To be successful in this role, you have...
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, or related field, required · Previous background experience in Finance or Accounting preferred
- Experience in Spirits/adult beverage or CPG industry preferred but not required
- A proven track-record working in finance/accounting analysis
- Advanced MS Excel skills are required; strong knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of Financial data systems, such as TM1 and SAP systems, preferred but not required
- Experience with Power BI is a plus but not required
- A strategic thinker with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Data driven and goal oriented, measuring success both quantitatively and qualitatively, and understanding the importance of both
- Motivated to learn all aspects of our business
- Great communication skills, well organized, strong project management skills, ability to multitask and be a team player
- Eligible to work in the US
- Must be at least 21 years of age
