Embrace Excellence

The Senior Accountant role is responsible for managing day-to-day general accounting administration with a strong focus on month-end reconciliations, problem-solving, and variance analysis. This position requires expertise in identifying discrepancies, providing actionable solutions, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.  You will lead month-end closing activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries, and perform comprehensive reconciliations with all accounts in general ledger and investigate accounting issues and other unusual items. 

Make an Impact

Day to day, you will be responsible for the following: 

  • Assist in the annual capital expenditure plan and ensure fixed assets and depreciation are properly recorded monthly and arrange annual physical count. 
  • Perform statutory reports and assist with balance sheet reviews
  • Review inventory reconciliation prepared by operation team to ensure sales recognition, and cost analyses.
  • Prepare selling cost (rebates) analysis and develop ways of working efficiencies to track this process.
  • Prepare overheads reporting for the USA by tracking how actuals compare to budget and providing commentary on expenditures
  • Interrogate key financial accounts and conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to ensure system generated transactions are maintained properly. 
  • Assist in providing tax documentation to our tax providers and ensuring tax compliance to Group strategy. Corporate tax expertise a strong consideration for this role.
  • Review quarterly federal/state tax estimation and annual federal/state tax returns prepared by outside accounting firm and ensure timely filing. File excise taxes.
  • Perform tariff and FET calculations and postings
  • Develop and document internal control procedures and perform regular tests to ensure day to day operations in compliance with internal policies and procedures. 
  • Prepare requested documents and schedules from internal/external auditors and ensures annual financial results are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 

Your Talent and Skills

We’re looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and significant experience working in a mid-to-large corporate finance environment or a public accounting firm. CPA certification is a plus, and you should have a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience with SAP is important, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are essential. Familiarity with PowerBI would be an advantage.

You’ll need to be comfortable working independently as well as collaborating with teams across all levels of the organization. Strong oral and written communication skills are key, along with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
