Position Summary

 

Edrington’s vision is to become the world’s leading portfolio of ultra-premium spirits. We will achieve this by developing internal capabilities through leveraging external data sources, allowing us to strengthen trade relations, increase proximity to consumers, and accelerating presence within the National Accounts universe. The RTC (Route-to-Consumer) Analyst will contribute to our enhanced focus on ensuring our brands are distributed in the right accounts and channels through account segmentation and impact tracking. This role will contribute to improvement of market share, distributor integration, productivity performance, executional consistency, and excellence.

 

Situated within the Commercial Excellence department, this role reports directly to the RTC & Capabilities Manager, with a dotted line to the Distribution Integration & National Accounts Sr. Manager. Collaboration with cross-functional teams in commercial and marketing is paramount, as the role involves synthesizing multiple data sources into cohesive reports to support our go-to-market strategies.

Job Description

 

  • Monitor distribution activities across our segmented account universe for The Macallan, highlighting wins, trends, velocity, and prestige sales through reports and developed dashboards that will be distributed as part of critical business updates.
  • Develop comprehensive reports to track the performance of RNDC network wide programming, offering insights into SKU penetration within our designated account segmentation and wider business scope.
  • Provide robust support to our 1000 Best initiative by delivering insightful reporting and tracking of key performance metrics.
  • Deliver valuable and useable insights focusing on distribution trends across our proximity markets, segmented by brand, to inform strategic decisions and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Extract, compile, and present category and market level data from shared RNDC data resources to continuously refine our account segmentation and pinpoint new distribution opportunities, thereby enhancing our market reach and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the development of distributor network programming by conducting in-depth analysis of participating SKU performance, recommending growth strategies, and identifying gaps on a network and market level.
  • Ensure that qualitative criteria are regularly updated in Aforza to accurately report, track, and measure activities that align with commercial and brand KPIs.
  • Establish a streamlined process for the National Accounts team to track and measure mandate and authorization fulfilment, ensuring transparent communication of progress to the wider commercial organization for seamless follow-through.
  • Create and maintain centralized National/Regional Chain trackers, conducting in-depth analyses to gain a profound understanding of outlets and portfolios within these specific chains for improved business decision making.
  • Leverage and analyze Nielsen data to uncover and garner actionable insights, contributing to informed decision-making and strategic planning. Highlighting relevant data and trends within the National Account universe, that can be utilized and presented for growth opportunities in other chains.
  • Aggregate sell-out data for key Chains to enhance our ability to forecast the needs of our top accounts accurately, thus ensuring optimal inventory management and customer satisfaction.

Skills and Experience

 

  • 2-4 years’ experience in an analytics or business intelligence role is preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail, and a naturally curious mindset
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, comfortable combining data from multiple sources
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build strong working relationships across multiple functions, including external sources
  • Ability to track, measure, and create regular reports and analysis, benchmarking with other markets. Communicate clear opportunities for optimization
  • Presentation & Storytelling – proficiency with PowerPoint; ability to analyze, interpret, and present data in an engaging and inspiring way
  • Project Management - Well organized, proactive, and able to effectively prioritize and manage own workload
  • Clear understanding how data and insights can help drive commercial return and efficiencies
  • Capable of comprehending and interpreting brand plans, channel, and SKU strategies ensuring ability build and track accordingly
  • Experience utilizing visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau etc.) to create and present data to marketing and commercially focused departments to drive business forward
  • Must be eligible to work in the US
  • Must reside in the NY Metro Area
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
