Position Summary

Edrington’s vision is to become the world’s leading portfolio of ultra-premium spirits. We will achieve this by brand building at every touchpoint and increasing our proximity to our customers and consumers. Procurement’s role is to advise and negotiate with internal teams for the use and management of vendors.  The position is aligned under Edrington’s US Finance team but will follow Global Procedures for due diligence and contract execution.  Categories of Indirect Procurement will vary, with the majority of programs in Marketing and Advertising. The Indirect Procurement Assistant Manager’s responsibility is to manage the on-boarding of new vendors, maintain the vendor list, conduct request for proposals, review and negotiate contracts, statements of work, and proposals.  This role will be responsible for the launch and monthly activities for two vendors programs MOTUS and Amazon.

This individual will maintain positive relationships with internal teams, vendors, legal and on-demand platforms. A key competency is the ability to influence without authority.  This individual will contribute to vendor management process across all brands, USA commercial teams, and Edrington offices ensuring services that are contracted are delivered utilizing best in-class vendors.  

Job Description

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand their business needs and provide procurement support to help meet goals in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Responsible for the seamless end-to-end process for onboarding of new vendors and maintaining vendor list.  Experience with SAP and vendor due diligence is a plus.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts and statements of work. Liaison between vendor, marketing and legal to conclude contract execution.
  • Follow, maintain, and update procurement processes to ensure that all deals are in line with the Procurement Policy
  • Knowledge of Marketing terms and services is essential in the position.
  • Develop Amazon program to centralize billing.  This will include creating procedures, launch of program, training, and ongoing ownership of program, including vendor relationship.
  • Manage MOTUS car program for sixty employees.  This will include training new employees, reviewing monthly reports, researching root causes, and vendor management.
  • Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of issues and takes corrective action.
  • Develop and maintain existing and new vendor relationships

Skills and Experience

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent.
  • Highly motivated. Self-starter – proactive and able to effectively prioritise and manage own workload.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to comfortable manage a partnership team. A collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem solver who can think outside the box and proactively find solutions
  • Strong ability to adapt to a changing environment; comfortable with ambiguity and always looking to improve.
  • Customer focused, passionate about industry trends and helping solve the needs for our internal business partners.
  • Attention to detail and delivering value with high standard of output.
  • Positive attitude when facing opportunities and challenges.
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ procurement experience preferably in marketing, events and or luxury goods.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Possess excellent project management and time management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence.
