Position Summary

The Pricing Analyst will support the pricing team across all brands in order to drive maximum profitability within the USA.  This role is not only responsible for ensuring that pricing strategies are executed at a high level but also for collaborating with key stakeholders in a supportive and productive manner.  The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable working in a lean structure, take initiatives and drive positive changes across the business. 

Job Description

  • Review pricing structures submission from commercial team to ensure pricing strategy is executed consistently nationwide and in alignment with brand strategy
  • Support Pricing Manager in partnering with BI teams to analyse market dynamics, pricing trends and market opportunities
  • Support annual price increase analysis and implementation process delivering excellence and 100% pricing integrity
  • Review selling cost trends and evaluate effectiveness of deal levels and make recommendations
  • Conduct pricing survey quarterly and summarize and present key findings to stakeholders
  • Support both the forecast and budget process, ensuring that the P&L is in line with expectations as it pertains to sales and discounting
  • Act as a key point of contact for Vistaar, our pricing management tool - own the development of ongoing changes, processes, and admin within the system
  • Track discounts spend and communicate potential savings/(risk) throughout the year
  • Work closely with the customer service team to resolve any pricing discrepancies within SAP
  • Support Pricing Manager on all monthly and quarterly pricing deliverables
  • Ensure importance of pricing within the company is appropriately aligned with investment and capability
  • Take initiative in identifying and resolving issues around pricing and margin
  • Seek out new ways to streamline pricing processes through technological solutions
  • Collaborate with pricing manager to support pricing inquiries throughout the organization

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business or other discipline is required (e.g., mathematics, economics, finance)
  • Previous pricing experiences is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in finance/pricing analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills are required. Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office Products preferred.
  • Knowledge of Cognos and SAP are preferred
  • Exceptional ability to extract strategic insights from large data sets and think outside the box to drive process improvement
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to independently drive projects; motivated to learn all aspects of our business
  • Ability to demonstrate people management and leadership to influence management decisions through cross-functional collaboration
