The Operations & Planning Manager (OPM) manages all aspects of the Supply Chain ensuring successful procurement and delivery of products to our USA and Canada markets. OPM will assist the Director of Operations with strategies aimed at improving the customer experience and driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness into the Supply Chain process in USA and Canada. This role reports directly to the Regional Director of Operations with two direct reports.

Make an Impact

 

  • Develop cost-saving initiatives for warehousing, freight, and logistics
  • Collaborate with UK operations on liquid supply and production timelines
  • Communicate supply risks and opportunities to the commercial, marketing, and finance teams
  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments to streamline processes, manage New Product Development market entry and life cycle planning, and report to management
  • Make strategic decisions and ensure steady supply based on demand, inventory, and production capacity
  • Present monthly analysis on local logistics trends and KPIs
  • Manage communication on production delays, quality issues, and allocation changes
  • Manage local allocations in conjunction with commercial finance
  • Maintain relationships with production plants and manage meeting minutes/action steps
  • Create and manage logistics and warehouse budget
  • Leads S&OP budgeting and forecasting process for efficient product market entry
  • Produce Supply Chain KPI reports that highlight business drivers and develop solutions for deviations
  • Ensure effective standard operating procedures are in place to manage the internal control environment
  • Implement best practices in shipping, packing, and warehousing
  • Develop and manage team performance
  • Manages 3PL relationships
  • Drive recruitment process with integrity and ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Conduct regular 1:1s to discuss projects, performance, and development
  • Align team efforts through regular meetings on performance and priorities
  • Handle employee grievances and disciplinary issues with HR support
  • Facilitate career development through coaching and annual talent processes

Your Talent and Skills

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, required
  • 5-10 years of Supply Chain experience, with preference in the Spirits Industry
  • High degree of proficiency in Excel, required
  • Experience using SAP and APO, preferred
  • Experience using PowerBI is a plus
  • Leadership aptitude is essential, with an ability to coach and mentor
  • Ability to analyze complex business issues and make decisions that drive the company’s success
  • Ability to work independently and remain focused in a dynamic working environment
  • An understanding of business context and to proactively generate innovation
  • Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally, at all levels of the organization
  • Eligible to work in the US
  • At least 21 years of age
