The Indirect Procurement Manager is a key individual in the Americas Finance team and Global Indirect procurement. It has a global reach with our key customers in the Americas. working closely with the Marketing Team and acting as a subject matter expert regarding all contracts (event execution, production services, point of sale, display, sponsorship, advertising, media, etc). This individual will make day to day decisions regarding materials and services for Edrington Americas to support its daily operations. This is a highly visible leadership role with two direct reports.
The Indirect Procurement Manager role must adapt continually to business needs, whilst managing both personal and team core objectives. The role demands the ability to influence cross-functionally at all levels.
Make an Impact
- Makes decisions about what to commit to/from vendors, what price to accept, and continuous contract review with support from Legal to ensure compliance with our agreements
In charge of developing and leading, effective, and efficient sourcing plans that agree with contract parameters and in line with our dynamic and changing business requirement - Actively research and evaluate potential new vendors as well as determining risk for existing vendors
- Manage, approve and Purchase Requisitions as well as collaborate with internal teams for year-end closure of Purchase Orders
- Create presentations and train employees on Purchase Order process, year-end responsibilities and audit procedures
- Prepare and issue Request for Proposals (RFP) for the supply of materials and services when necessary
- Support Head of Procurement and Director of Finance in Projects covering Capex, Logistics, HR, Finance, IT, Marketing, and others as necessary
- Align with AP team to assisting marketing in getting invoices paid in the correct timeframe
- Ensure GFRA audit completion with resulting actions assigned to the team
- Support Americas Corporate Finance and Direct Procurement in relevant new projects
- Manages the compliance of vendor and customer set ups
- Assist in the evaluation of appropriate business relationships and assessment of overall vendor quality through KY3P and due-diligence checks
- Directs procurement process flow from selection to on boarding to PO to invoicing
- Assist with Continuous Assurance reviews, internal controls and compliance
Your Talent and Skills
To be successful in this role, you have..
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field including but not limited to: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain required, MBA preferred
- Experience in mid-large size corporate finance environment or public accounting firm
- Strong background in Sourcing and Procurement required
- Expertise in contract writing, negotiations and vendor risk
- Experience in strategy development and strategic sourcing of Indirect spend categories
- SAP experience is a plus
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel including experience with Macro’s and data manipulation
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment with all levels of the organization
- Experience creating policies and best in class practices
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Excellent analytical and financial acumen
- Experience with compliance and internal controls preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be located in the Tri-State Area
- Must be able to legally work in the US
