Position Summary

The Digital Copywriter will lead the development of communications for a wide array of digital channels and audiences including digital, retail and B2B media. The role will report to the Director of E-commerce and Digital Communications based in New York and will be responsible for continually enhancing how we are recruiting and connecting with consumers, trade, and distributors.

The person will work collaboratively across many cross-functional teams including e-commerce, marketing, and CMI, as well as with external partners to deliver copy that builds premium perceptions and consumer desire and enables the delivery of brand goals.

Job Description

Copywriting and Content Creation

  • Collaborate with the brand, e-commerce and global digital teams on activation calendars, assets, offerings, promotions, and briefs
  • Develop, present, adapt and disseminate copy for brand, distributor and retailer websites, social channels and email marketing that is on brand and relevant to the end user
  • Act as a consultant to brand teams on content development for social and other digital channels, to ensure we are creating desire and maximizing conversion across all consumer touchpoints
  • Ensure content and copy is available on a timely basis
  • Working with relevant stakeholders, continually monitor, test, and optimize copy to improve brand perceptions and results
  • Stay up to date on e-commerce content trends and best practices to ensure we are providing great customer experiences online
  • Assist with the development of e-commerce guidelines, playbooks, sell sheets and presentation decks
  • Take initiative and provide ideas on how we can influence and engage consumers online to drive brand growth


  • In partnership with brand teams, global CRM and agencies create and deploy targeted brand communications including newsletters and direct messaging etc.
  • Personalize copy to deliver relevant offers and communications to different audience segments

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a copywriter within an agency, e-commerce retailer or brand team
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to match different brand voices, audiences, and environments
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of education
  • Ability to listen and translate briefs into copy that drives desired results
  • A team player who can work with different personalities and handle feedback well
  • Ability to operate independently and accurately in a fast-paced and deadline-driven, demanding environment
  • Extremely organized with excellent attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrate ownership of role and projects, and unprompted follow-through
  • Ability to build and nurture strong relationships and gain the respect of internal and external stakeholders to achieve results
  • Creative and innovative thinker and storyteller
