Position Summary


As a National Account – Off Premise Lead in the US spirits industry, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales, building strategic partnerships, and expanding market share for our portfolio of ultra-premium brands across key luxury Off Trade accounts. As a crucial and central Off Premise point of contact, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive account plans, essential to driving sales growth and building brand equity.

You will work cross functionally on a national level to communicate opportunities with both commercial and marketing teams ensuring strategic brand alignment and execution against commercial business objectives.

Job Description

 

  • Develop and manage relationships with key luxury national accounts focused on Off Premise chains critical to our commercial performance. This will include Total Wine & More as a primary focus but will also encompass additional chain accounts deemed high potential for business opportunity.
  • Heavily focus on being a steward for The Macallan brand, maintaining a strong understanding of the value, heritage, and product offerings available.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans that outline sales objectives, programming, and performance metrics for each key account.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance data, market trends, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement, reporting insights and recommendations to Sr. Manager, Distributor Integration/National Accounts on a regular basis.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, trade marketing, and supply chain, to align strategies and ensure effective execution of initiatives targeted at the luxury segment.
  • Collaborate with demand planning and forecasting teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and inventory plans for key national accounts.
  • In collaboration with the Commercial Education Manager, support the local commercial teams in both training and product knowledge sessions to key account staff, equipping them with the necessary tools to effectively promote our brands.

Skills and Experience

 

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a role involving national account or chain management, distributor management, or commercial management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential; must be comfortable interacting with distributor and internal leadership.
  • Must be able to work and develop relationships in a cross-functional team and lead/influence stakeholders.
  • Strong self-starter with a passion for building strategy and effective team dynamics.
  • Creative problem solver, solution oriented.
  • Strong ability to adapt to a changing environment; comfortable with ambiguity and always looking to improve.
  • Strong Interpersonal and networking skills, building good business relationships in and out of the organization.
  • Luxury marketing skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel is a must.
  • Proven track record in a change oriented and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Good organizational awareness and ability to manage complexity.
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence.
  • Positive attitude when facing opportunities and challenges.
  • Out-going team player who has a flexible approach to work.
  • Travel requirement up to 20% as needed to perform job function.
  • Off Premise Chain Experience highly desired.
