Based in Nairobi, Kenya – this role reports to the Brand Manager and manages the Brand activity for Edrington brands across East Africa (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique & Rwanda) supported by the Brand Manager. The role contributes to the management, planning, execution and delivery of local brand strategies & marketing activities which collaborates closely with the Brand Manager, Senior Area Management teams, Education Teams and our Strategic Distribution Partners within East & Central Africa.

This role has overall responsibility for the optimisation and active management of A&P budgets and development, management and execution of annual Through-the-Line activity calendars within their local region aligned to Global Brand strategy and Edrington’s Marketing Code. They also form part of and contribute to the wider regional marketing community and their deliverables across the EEMEAI region. 

Make an Impact

  • Plan, brief, execute and manage brand and marketing activities that meet business objectives and support external brand partners across the market.
  • Manage the annual A&P budget, including payment processing, tracking spend, and reviewing performance on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Lead the implementation of global campaigns and develop approved local activations in collaboration with agencies, Brand Managers and education teams.
  • Support activation delivery by managing briefs, stock and POS requests, and liaising with global brand teams for approvals and assets.
  • Build and develop local luxury partnership relationships through regular engagement and branded activations.
  • Support the development and implementation of market growth plans in line with regional growth planning and brand priorities.
  • Manage day‑to‑day relationships with local agencies, education teams and distribution partners to ensure activities align with the annual calendar.
  • Share campaign assets, marketing plans, and priorities with internal teams, agencies and distributors, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Deliver robust marketing reporting, including activity updates, budget reporting and competitor insights, to senior stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Ensure all marketing activities, agencies and partners comply with brand guidelines, legal requirements, and the Edrington Marketing Code.

Your Talent and Skills

We’re looking for a commercially minded marketer, ideally degree‑educated, with experience in a similar role and confidence managing budgets, agencies and campaign ROI. You’ll be comfortable adapting global brand strategies to local markets, with a strong understanding of trade customers and consumers within the African liquor industry. Strong through‑the‑line marketing capability is essential, including digital platforms, in‑store activation and DOOH, along with sound knowledge of brand, portfolio and category strategy. You’ll bring high energy, attention to detail, and the drive to make things happen in a fast‑moving, cross‑cultural environment, with the ability to negotiate, influence and build strong relationships. Excellent written and spoken English, solid Microsoft Office skills, and experience in luxury goods or the spirits industry — or a genuine interest in whisky — would be a distinct advantage.
