Position Summary

The POS and Merchandizing Associate is responsible for the seamless end-to-end process for point of sale, displays and asset procurement and deployment. These items will be highly visible to customers and consumers across the USA so it is essential that quality control and adherence of brand guidelines and legalities are upheld and monitored at all times. The purpose of this role is to constantly make the process of procuring, delivering, and ordering POS more efficient.

This individual will manage the relationship with InnerWorkings and other procurement vendors, overseeing our centralized warehouse and on-demand platforms. Cross functional collaboration between brand, division brand teams, national account, commercial, finance, legal and global will be critical as budgeting and alignment is an essential remit of this role. This individual will contribute to the planning process across all brands and USA commercial teams, ensuring items are delivered in market on time.

The POS and Merchandizing Associate also has a creative function, providing consultancy to brand teams and division brand teams on innovative items to consider for programming based on brand guidelines. From sustainability to luxury and digital this individual should be at the forefront of innovation when it comes to POS and displays and in the know of what competitors and luxury brands are providing when it comes to these assets.

Job Description

  • Responsible for the seamless end to end process for point of sale, displays and asset procurement and deployment. Ensuring all artwork and POS elements are on brand strategy, maintaining brand guidelines and luxury standards.
  • Deliver innovative POS solutions consulting the brand teams and trade marketing teams on items that drive conversion at the point of purchase. Develop and communicate relevant materials to assist with sell in.
  • Align point of sale and value add items with Trade Marketing and brand plan activity, to ensure best in class quality and cost effectiveness with internal/external designers and suppliers. Oversee quality control and coordination of legal requirements.
  • Support the annual planning process ensuring procurement timelines align and items are delivered to market on time to meet commercial deadlines.
  • Manage the VALO on demand ordering site ensuring pricing, photos, descriptions are accurate and best represented for a luxury company. Manage allocation permissions and transfers. Constantly look for ways to improve platform capabilities.
  • Oversee the USA procurement process, collaborating with local teams on needs to provide POS quoting, quality assurance price and timeline control. Be involved in all POS development to limit local procurement.
  • Develop annual or biannual display and POS playbooks and deploy to commercial and division brand teams.
  • Conduct bi-annual surveys on the effectiveness and usefulness of POS, displays and brand assets to constantly improve offerings.
  • Manage the overall POS budget for Edrington, provide monthly budget updates on warehouse spend and consult the respective stakeholders on ways to cut costs and drive saving opportunities through stock consolidation.
  • Lead Innerworkings operations team to manage order shipments and tracking to and from the warehouse.
  • Deliver a kitting solution for brand events to ensure consistency and excellence in execution.  
  • Mange warehouse budget and monthly billing.

Skills and Experience

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ marketing or finance experience in luxury goods, operations, the food and beverage industry or e-commerce.
  • Agency management skills, clear briefing, and communication skills.
  • Manages the point of sale procurement process ensuring quality and functionality are up to brand standards.
  • Must be able to work and develop relationships in a cross-functional team and lead/influence stakeholders.
  • Customer focused, passionate about industry trends and helping solve the needs for our business partners.
  • Budget management with ability to scrutinize and negotiate with partners.
  • Problem solver who can think outside the box and proactively find solutions.
  • Attention to detail and delivering value with high standard of output.
  • Background in procurement, commercial or operations would be helpful but not mandatory.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to comfortable manage a partnership team. A collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in POS, design, tech and visual merchandizing.
  • Strong ability to adapt to a changing environment; comfortable with ambiguity and always looking to improve.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel is a must.
  • Well organized with a proven track record in a change oriented and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Good organizational awareness and ability to manage complexity.
  • Highly motivated. Self-starter – proactive and able to effectively prioritise and manage own workload.
