Position Summary

The Brugal 1888 Assistant Brand Manager is a key part of the USA Marketing Team and will be responsible for supporting and delivering uncompromised excellence in execution, through an enhanced lens of luxury. This role will be primarily responsible for executing marketing programs and activities, securing sustainable growth in revenue, profit, and consumer metrics.  

This role will inspire and work with the wider USA marketing and commercial teams to ensure all activities executed are in line with the Brand’s DNA and Ultra-Premium standards. Through management or support of consumer facing brand building activities in the USA, this role will work in close collaboration with the National Brand Manager, Divisional Brand Managers and commercial teams along with respective agencies to build brand equity.

Job Description

  • Be a Brugal 1888 brand custodian for the USA, ensuring brand standards are clearly communicated, upheld and executed with excellence. Educating and correct where necessary to promote commercial excellence principles and luxury behaviours.  
  • Aligned to Global Brand Team and Americas Regional Team, support the development of brand growth marketing strategy across different stages of the consumer journey, and implementation of innovation launch plans and activation programs for Brugal 1888, communication strategies (above the line, social media, PR, CRM, etc.) driving brand awareness, saliency and profitable growth for the Brand.
  • Support Commercial Team with marketing tools, leveraging global assets ex. Product Sell Sheets and assets, launch directives, training materials, consumer event support, etc.
  • Lead monthly reporting and business analysis with sell-in and sell-out data, trade and consumer feedback, market activation KPIs to identify learnings for improvement.
  • Support the development of 360 programs through the line (all channels) in collaboration with Trade Marketing Manager.
  • Collaborate in the creation and management of trade/consumer facing tools, digital assets, and POS (buy book).
  • Effectively manage agency partners and all related projects.
  • Contribute to the annual planning calendar ensuring commercial deadlines are met and consumer and trade activities are planned to ensure proper execution timelines.
  • Create meaningful PowerPoint pitches and presentations deliverable to senior decision makers internally and externally for use throughout various strategic meetings.
  • A&P tracking and reporting, including administrative support for Marketing invoices, PO creation, and weekly budget tracker management etc.

Skills and Experience

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ marketing experience in luxury goods and services or the food and beverage industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential; must be comfortable interacting with internal and external leadership.
  • Agency management skills, clear briefing, and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Must be able to work and develop relationships in a cross-functional team and influence stakeholders.
  • Creative problem solver, solution oriented.
  • Project management experience and time management skills.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in luxury goods, digital media/social media, and competency in digital marketing tools.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment; comfortable with ambiguity and always looking to improve.
