Embrace Excellence
We are seeking a Trade Marketing Executive to join our Trade Marketing team to help further develop our emerging markets in Latin America. This is a unique and exciting position within the Edrington Mexico, Latin America & Caribbean division that works closely with internal and external partners and across our full spirits portfolio. With the guidance of the Sr. Trade Marketing Manager and working together with our brand teams, commercial teams and procurement team, the Trade Marketing Executive will be primarily responsible for contributing, planning, communicating, and managing all elements of the trade marketing mix and supporting our key customers.
You’ll be a passionate ambassador for our brands and have a flexible approach to duties. You will also have an eye for detail and be passionate about delivering engaging trade marketing campaigns to support the growth aspirations of our brands. Helping drive how we positively engage with the trade in an omni-channel approach while focusing on the off and on-premise – the role will create holistic programs while considering trade visibility, merchandiser teams, and helping manage 3rd party agencies that help drive sell out group across different channels and points of sale.
Make an Impact
- The Trade Marketing Executives a crucial role in the Trade Marketing Team in making both sides of the business understand each other’s needs: for Marketing to build programs that will increase consumer pull-through and for Commercial to execute those programs in the marketplace
- This role will work closely with Brand Marketing, Distributor Partners in Latin America, and agency partners to develop brand activation programs that are innovative, consumer-focused, high-impact, grounded in commercial reality, and consistently executed across the region
- Assist in developing strategies and commercial planning that will deliver brand growth
- On/Off Premise Channel Strategy – help develop strategies across channel segments to create consumer and trade pull
- Establish and cultivate a strong relationship with the commercial team, considering local input for all programming
- Measure and report on performance of commercial programs, sharing best practices for future iterations
- Analyse and understand regional business performance, risk, and opportunities
- Manage the feedback loop on programs with local commercial and marketing teams
- Act as the voice of field/trade in building BTL programs that will create pull through within the on/off premise channel segments
- Creation of category and brand selling tools (e.g. sell sheets, toolkits, playbooks, program guides, program presentations) that will aid in the selling process
- Manage the rollout and communication of commercial programming
- Assist with the presentation of brand programs to commercial and distributor teams
- Communicate program details and bi-annual playbooks, portfolio books, cocktail books and more
- Collaborate with brand marketing and point-of-sale agency on impact merchandising that is grounded in commercial needs
- Assist in the point-of-sale planning process from briefing to in-store execution
- Ensure efficient spending of central budget, as well as monitor spending in regional markets to ensure the funding of strategic priorities
- Utilize new and emerging technologies to help drive execution, improve compliance, and locate new business opportunities
Your Talent and Skills
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Educated to a degree level or equivalent
- Marketing experience in retail marketing, distributor marketing, CPG, spirits industry, and/or luxury goods and services
- Understanding of a trade marketing environment, promotional programming, and category/channel segmentation desirable
- An excellent team player who can ensure on and off-trade campaigns and promotions are delivered as required
- Highly motivated. Self-starter – proactive and able to effectively prioritize and take ownership of projects with post-review reports
- Well organized with ability to handle multiple/diverse tasks while adapting to changes in a fast- paced environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential while having a creative and detailed eye
- Must be able to work and develop relationships in a cross-functional team
- Agency management skills, clear briefing, and communication skills
- Creative problem solver, solution oriented
- Possess excellent project management and time management skills
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in luxury goods and retail environment

- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel is a must

- Travel requirement up to 20% as needed to perform job function
- Must be eligible to work in Mexico and have valid passport for international travel
