Position Summary

The National on-Premises Manager is responsible for leading the company’s efforts to cultivate, expand and maintain relationships with key Restaurants, Bars and Hotels driving the profitable development and market share growth of the Edrington portfolio across Mexico. The manager will also have the responsibility of managing and developing the Edrington On Premise Account Executives; of working closely with Edrington Trade Marketing, Marketing and Sales teams.

The National on Premise Manager will focus on the development of direct reports as well of key account, while coordinating closely Market Managers in México, as well as Brand Managers and Ambassadors to ensure the execution of targeted objectives in alignment with national brand plans.

Job Description

  • Responsible for the creation and development of the channel strategy
  • Work with Key On Premise National Accounts to develop and implement relevant brand programs and events to accelerate brands positioning, velocity and profitability
  • Collaborate with  Brand teams, Trademarketing to develop plans to expand portfolio and create programs that drive placements and velocity.
  • Communicate all new placements & programs as well as changes and opportunities
  • Effectively manage, mentor and develop the On Premise Executives.
  • Plan and implement creative and on-brand special events and engagements
  • Track and measure commercial and brand building results against assigned objectives and KPI’s
  • Develop, manage and control planned/actual spending by account to ensure maximum account profitability
  • Work with Marketing, trade marketing and Off Premise field teams as well to develop On Premise smart distribution and product allocation model and track performance against objectives
  • Work with targeted accounts and agency partners to actively manage the planning and execution of strategic sales drivers and programs
  • Help to build effective and productive working relationships with key customers (internal and external), distributors and agencies
  • Monitor Account and Channel performance on a monthly basis against assigned growth objectives and KPI’s
  • Use recognized validation tools, TBD, to deliver brand plans to achieve assigned target account results
  • Maintain accurate records regarding distributor and account profiles

Skills and Experience

  • College Degree in Business or Marketing
  • 10+ years’ experience within Beverage Alcohol Industry with a minimum of 5 years selling On Premise Account Customers
  • People and Teams management experience is a must
  • Background in hospitality industry or distributor management is beneficial
  • Thorough knowledge of sales, sales management and delivering quality standards
  • In depth knowledge of category/channel management principles
  • Strong presentation skills with proven written and oral communication expertise
  • Ability to consistently conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively and promptly at all levels of the organization as well as at key accounts
  • Computer proficiency required in MS Office products and internal data systems
  • Ability to analyze and utilize available information to prepare presentations, solve problems and present fact based solutions
  • Demonstrated budget and sales management skills
  • Positive attitude and out-going team player who also has an innovative and entrepreneurial approach
  • 50% annual Mexico Domestic Travel required across customer base and company/industry meetings and as needed to perform job function
  • Occasional International travel – valid Mexican Passport a US Visa required
