The Market Lead is the commercial face of the brand in the market. A recognized leader in execution and interaction with customers by embodying Edrington’s commercial excellence principles and luxury behaviors.
The Market Lead is a dedicated, passionate brand champion, embodying the essence of the brand, with the goal to help make the Edrington Portfolio a leader in the ultra-premium sector. The Market Lead will be primarily focused in the Off-Premise channel, and will spearhead building brand awareness and relevancy in the market through their trade and consumer engagement. Accountable for market execution of brand education platforms, brand sponsored events, building trade relationships, developing a network of influencers, as well as partnerships with local area luxury lifestyle brands. This position will work together with the local distributor network to drive business volumetrically, as well as increase distribution within each of their target accounts. This position is for a self-starter, someone who is highly driven to succeed, and enjoys going the extra mile to achieve results.
Please note, to be considered for this position you must reside in Los Angeles, CA OR be willing to relocate to LA.
Make an Impact
The Market lead is the commercial face of the brand and responsible for the delivery of both the commercial and brand objectives for their market, and the execution of our brands’ activation plans in top accounts.
- Focus primarily on key account management (90%), with limited time spent managing distributor relationships (10%).
- Build and maintain strong commercial relationships across target accounts, spending most time in the field to drive distribution, visibility, and sales performance.
- Partner with distributors and internal commercial teams to grow targeted Off-Premise accounts, optimise e-commerce opportunities, and close distribution gaps.
- Execute local commercial and brand plans, aligning activity with market priorities, promotional calendars, and key growth opportunities.
- Act as the local face of the brand, developing relationships with trade partners, collectors, influencers, and premium retail accounts to drive brand advocacy and consumer recruitment.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within premium and luxury channels, delivering best-in-class visibility, activation, and distribution.
- Collaborate closely with Area Managers, Brand Marketing, and distributor teams to maximise account performance and market execution.
- Manage budgets effectively and provide regular reporting on market activity, consumer insights, competitor activity, account performance, and activation effectiveness through Aforza and other reporting tools.

Experience with premium/luxury brand building and/or commercial capabilities:
- Passion for ultra-premium spirits (Rum, Scotch, Bourbon, Tequila)
- Motivated self-starter, articulate, charismatic, polished, and professional
- Exceptional organizational & event production/management skills
- Adept at networking, selling, and interacting with diverse groups of people
- Strong written, verbal, and public speaking skills
- Use of social media (Facebook, Instagram) & technology
- Ability to work independently, manage a personal schedule, think creatively
