Embrace Excellence
This role is part of a team of 2 Process Engineers, responsible for all engineering activity for the malting, distillation and maturation plants at Highland Park Distillery. The purpose of this role is to provide engineering support and be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of all process plant and equipment.
Make an Impact
- Maintenance, reliability & compliance: Maintain and repair all plant and equipment, complete planned preventative maintenance, repairs, condition‑based monitoring, and defect resolution, ensuring compliance with COMAH, DSEAR, PUWER, HAZOP and safe reinstatement/commissioning of plant.
- Operations & breakdown support: Provide effective day‑to‑day engineering support, including a 1‑in‑4 call‑out rota, minimising operational disruption, completing job cards/work orders, and delivering clear handovers to production teams.
- Projects, improvements & efficiency: Support capital projects, continuous improvement and world‑class engineering initiatives by analysing production performance and recommending efficiency and productivity improvements.
- Planning, safety & coordination: Plan and deliver maintenance and project workloads using Safe Systems of Work (permits, isolations, RAMS), liaising closely with engineering, production colleagues, and specialist contractors.
- Professional development & team support: Undertake ongoing training and development, support Engineering Team Leaders, and carry out delegated activities to meet departmental objectives.
