Wyoming Whiskey sits within the Estate Brands Business Unit of Edrington, an American whiskey brand grown, distilled, bottled and aged in Wyoming. The distillery is based in Kirby, Hot Springs County and includes the distillery, bottling, and a retail store with ecommerce function and a tasting room, with an additional retail outpost and tasting room in Jackson, Teton County.

The Retail Store Manager for Wyoming Whiskey is responsible for facilitating and supervising daily operations at the Kirby or Jackson store, respectfully, to make sure that employees work together effectively to educate consumers, make sales, and contribute to shop upkeep. This position is a hands-on, high-energy role with focus on hospitality and store management.
Make an Impact
Reporting to the Wyoming Whiskey General Manager key responsibilities include..
• Providing exceptional visitor experience for customers, event attendees, and visiting VIP guests.
• Supervising, training staff and scheduling staff shifts, and working alongside store and event staff.
• Ensuring premier customer service and whiskey tastings, staffing coordination, sharing accurate information about the business and products.
• Oversee inventory, supplies, and merchandize management for accuracy, including merchandise planning and ordering, monthly inventory confirmations, planning based upon seasonal variations, recommendations for phasing merchandise, and whiskey inventory for sales and sampling.
• Understand and work within Wyoming Liquor Division legal parameters for alcohol sales and samplings.
• Coordinate with the General Manager, Brand Manager, and peer Store Manager in different location for designing, ordering, planning and delivery of merchandise, events, and VIP experiences for local, national, and international guests.
• Coordinate with the General Manager, Brand Manager, and peer Store Manager in different location to ensure consistent presentation and participation of the brand in advertising and event opportunities, to include local event/sale advertising and tourism promotion.
• Work with local organizations to promote the brand through community support, sponsorships, and event participation.
• Use sales and visitor data to target and plan improvements.
• Coordinate building maintenance and repairs, janitorial upkeep, supply requirements, and overall store cleanliness and presentation.
• Responsible for hiring of seasonal (full-time and/or part-time) staff.

• Experience in hospitality, tourism, and/or events.
• Proven administrative skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and work within a budget.
• Budget management – ownership, allocation, forecasting, monitoring.
• Stock/Inventory management – ownership, ordering, monitoring.
• Excellent customer service, people management, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to public speaking.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• Driven to meet high performance standards, take initiative, and work with a team to deliver success.
• Ability to work occasional evenings, nights, and weekends as events and store scheduling requires.
• Excellent critical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead large group tastings and conduct tours.
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must able to work on-site 5 days per week at our Kirby Distillery Shop.
