Embrace Excellence

The Senior Insight Manager plays a key role in driving consumer-centric decision making within the Malt Whisky brand portfolio.

The role has primary responsibility for the delivery of global strategic insight initiatives across the brands from defining project objectives and scope to identifying key conclusions and implications from the findings and communicating these to internal stakeholders. The role plays a key part in inspiring, informing and shaping our brand strategies and marketing programmes, generating actionable insights by integrating primary research studies, secondary data sources and internal intelligence.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Make an Impact

  • Provide a data-led assessment of the strategic growth opportunities for each brand in the context of category dynamics and the wider macro environment.
  • Build deeper understanding of our brands’ target consumers and the wider potential audience for Ultra-Premium and Prestige spirits with a specific focus on High-Net-Worth clients.
  • Monitor the health of our brands versus relevant competitors amongst consumers and trade, tracking progress over time against their strategic objectives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of key marketing programmes and identifying learnings to inspire future creative development and inform brand planning.
  • Manage delivery of the global Consumer Brand Health Tracking and Trade Advocacy Tracking programmes.
  • Identify relevant metrics from other sources (e.g. social listening) which can provide an additional, complementary perspective on brand sentiment and momentum.
  • Champion the consistent adoption of effectiveness scorecards globally and within regions and markets.
  • Conduct a thorough, diagnostic evaluation of key global campaigns to understand the factors influencing performance against the specific objectives.  
  • Refine and enhance target consumer profiles for each brand generating deeper insight into their attitudes, beliefs, values and aspirations.
  • Combine primary research and internal local intelligence to build a comprehensive picture of the wider Ultra-Premium & Prestige spirits audience, their consumption occasions and the motivations behind them, highlighting cultural nuances.
  • Foster a deeper understanding of High-Net-Worth clients, their lifestyles and their expectations from luxury brands through leveraging internal CRM data and private client networks along with external expert perspectives and primary research.

Your Talent and Skills

To be considered for this role you will have proven experience in a senior insight role, covering market dynamics, consumer understanding, brand health and marketing effectiveness, with a strong track record of delivering global insight projects using both primary and secondary data. You will bring excellent knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods, strong data analysis and visualisation skills, and the ability to translate insights into clear, strategic recommendations. You will be a confident communicator and presenter, skilled in stakeholder management and project delivery, with a curious mindset and commitment to continuous learning. Experience within premium spirits, luxury marketing, and digital analytics or AI tools would be advantageous.
