Embrace Excellence

As Quality Technologist, you will help drive quality excellence within Edrington's bottling hall at Great Western Road. You will provide hands-on support for material quality issues, strengthen quality systems and enable continuous improvement, helping to protect operational performance, finished product quality and customer expectations across our exceptional brands.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Make an Impact

• Respond swiftly to material-related issues, identifying root causes and practical solutions to minimise disruption to production and line efficiency.
• Assess material quality, raise supplier non-conformances promptly and support robust root cause analysis with Supplier Quality Leads.
• Maintain supplier performance records and support incoming dry goods inspection when required.
• Carry out quality observations in the bottling hall, escalating compliance or quality standard issues through the appropriate channels.
• Support investigations, online troubleshooting and fault finding to prevent recurring production issues.
• Support new product development through sample inspection, trials, commissioning and quality risk assessments, providing technical input into proposed designs.
• Develop and implement clear processes, procedures, visual standards and training that strengthen quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Build effective relationships with manufacturing teams, suppliers and other stakeholders, supporting customer complaint investigations and working shifts where required.

Your Talent and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will bring in-depth experience gained within a bottling hall environment or through working with a supplier to the bottling industry, alongside a strong understanding of quality systems and requirements, including working knowledge of HACCP principles and ISO 9001 standards. You will have a solid understanding of packaging materials, supplier processes and the interaction between materials, people and machinery. With a keen eye for detail, you will be able to identify defects, challenge non-conformance and see issues through to resolution. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as is the confidence to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels. You will adopt a practical, positive and team-focused approach, with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Good working knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Office and quality management systems is required, while experience of SAP and SharePoint would be advantageous.
