Embrace Excellence
We are looking for a Reward Assistant to join our HR team! Supporting the Reward Advisor and Reward Manager at Queen Street, your will provide a comprehensive and professional service to the business. The Payroll Assistant will work collaboratively with our HR generalist teams and other centres of excellence to support the delivery of payroll, benefits, and ad-hoc HR strategy and projects.
Make an Impact
Day to day, you will be responsible for the following:
- Ensure all data required for payroll is processed accurately and on time, working closely with HR, Resourcing and line managers
- Processing of all payroll data for UK and non-UK local operating companies (LOCs), including liaison with payroll provider and other third parties as necessary for data input
- Support administration of UK benefits (private medical, cycle to work, etc.) for reporting of changes and payments to 3rd parties
- Run data governance and maintenance reports, such as organisation structure, new starts/leavers, salaries, working patterns, and take or prompt action as appropriate
- Manage annual and monthly process for electronic staff shop vouchers
- Monitor and analyse Recognition awards, providing insight on trends and on-going communications
- Support shares administration and queries, and support with UK pension administration and queries
- Assist with reporting for finance, internal and external audit
Your Talent and Skills
We’re looking for someone with solid UK payroll experience and a great understanding of employment taxes to join our HR team. You’ll bring experience that matches the level of this role and ideally be working towards your CIPP qualification—don’t worry, we’ll support you in achieving it, as it’s a requirement for the position. Excellent IT skills are essential, along with experience using computerised HR systems. If you’ve worked with SAP SuccessFactors and ADP Celergo, that’s a big plus!
We need someone approachable, enthusiastic, and proactive, with the resilience to handle a varied and sometimes high-volume workload. Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise both short- and long-term tasks are key. You’ll be an excellent communicator—confident in adapting your style for different audiences—and comfortable working with large volumes of data and numerical analysis. Above all, you’ll act with discretion and absolute confidentiality, earning trust and respect in everything you do.
