Embrace Excellence
Planning & Global Supply (P&GS) is a key department within Edrington’s Global Supply Chain responsible for the end-to-end planning and delivery of supply chain operations including all planning elements for the UK GWR production site, Global Demand & Supply Planning, Customer Service, Customs & Excise, and Freight & Logistics.
This position is based in GWR in Glasgow and has ‘dotted line’ connections with all Edrington Local Operating Companies (LOC’s). The supply planning team lead and coordinate intercompany supply planning activities, ensuring optimal product availability across markets through effective collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. They drive alignment between demand, supply, and inventory strategies to support service targets and operational efficiency.
This is a 12 month fixed term position.
Make an Impact
- Develop and manage intercompany supply plans to ensure product availability across global markets
- Create and maintain Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) in line with planning timelines and allocation targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (demand, production, logistics) to ensure smooth supply execution
- Monitor allocations, system data, and planning parameters to maintain accuracy and minimise risk
- Proactively manage supply disruptions, including shortages, delays, and new product introductions
- Lead regular alignment meetings with stakeholders to prioritise risks and drive recovery actions
- Align NPD shipment planning to support successful product launches
- Optimise inventory across the network to ensure efficient stock positioning
- Track performance through KPIs and drive actions to improve service levels
- Support continuous improvement of planning processes, systems, and network efficiency
Your Talent and Skills
To be successful in this role, you have demonstrated experience in Supply Planning, supported by advanced knowledge of SAP and the APO SNP planning module, with exposure to the SAP APO DP planning module being advantageous. You possess a solid understanding of SAP ECC, including the SD and MM modules, as well as MRP master data. You have a strong appreciation of organisational structures and cross-functional dependencies across Global Marketing, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Local Operating Companies. In addition, you are highly proficient in key business systems and tools, including Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams. Your excellent communication skills enable you to adapt your approach and messaging effectively for different audiences and situations, while your ability to manage competing priorities allows you to balance the demands of multiple stakeholders and functions. You also bring a good knowledge of the company's product portfolio, alongside a broad understanding of the global drinks industry, including key market trends and dynamics.
