Position Summary

A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Corporate Affairs Assistant to join the Corporate Affairs team based in our Glasgow Head Office.  Reporting to the Digital Communications Lead, the Corporate Affairs Assistant will help deliver a wide range of internal communications, ensuring employees feel informed and engaged about the business, its performance, strategy and culture. The role will provide communication support to the global corporate affairs team in the UK, Asian Pacific, Americas and Dominican Republic. It will also involve delivering effective communications to our Global Supply Chain function.

Job Description

The role is focused on communications, as well as some administrative tasks to assist with the work of the corporate affairs department. Responsibilities include:  

  • Review and edit internal intranet stories under the direction of the Digital Communications Lead.
  • Support the Corporate Affairs team with the production of internal videos/photography.
  • Work under the direction of the Global Supply Chain HR Business Partner to develop a suite of communications assets for Global Supply Chain colleagues.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Office and Events Manager to support the logistics of events at 100 Queen Street.
  • Preparation and maintenance of corporate materials, including PowerPoint presentations.
  • Day to day management of the photography and film asset libraries.
  • Provide confidential administration support to the corporate affairs global team, this would include diary management, travel management and general team administrative tasks.

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will be degree qualified in a relevant digital/communications subject and have an excellent standard of written and spoken English. Familiarity with other digital channels, such as social media and video, as a tool for communication and engagement will be key. You will be proactive, highly organised and be able to manage multiple activities at once, whilst building effective relationships with multiple stakeholders. Ideally you will have experience of using Microsoft programmes including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel along with image editing software.
