Position Summary

A new and exciting opportunity has become available as Senior Consumer Insights Manager within the Malt Whiskies Business Unit.  The Consumer Insights Manager has responsibility for delivering consumer and category insights for the Malts and Partnership Brands.  This role will report to the Senior Consumer Insights Manger Corporate and Partnership Brands and will be instrumental in deriving and communicating executable insights from tracking studies, data analysis, and consumer & trade research.

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing input into Malt whiskies and Partnership brand programs, ensuring that the consumer perspective is at the forefront of decision-making
  • Managing and delivering qualitative and quantitative global research projects
  • Collecting, integrating, and analysing information from a range of sources including primary research, published reports, digital analytics and CRM databases to generate insights that will unlock growth opportunities and help maximise appeal, meaningfulness and differentiation among consumers
  • Building and embedding digital analysis and insights from Digital Dashboard, CRM and ecommerce
  • Input into and provide analysis from the Brand Health Tracker from key markets and brands
  • Helping brands set logical and achievable KPI’s based upon their strategic goals and objectives linked back to brand health tracking
  • Creating on-going KPI dashboards to establish the measures within the business to monitor the health of the brands and the impact of our initiatives on the brand
  • Delivery of Breakthrough KPIs and tracking, identifying success and learning across the portfolio
  • Evaluating and providing ROI information on global brand activations
  • Providing macroeconomic updates and insights to feed into the corporate and brand strategies
  • Providing regular category overviews – performance metrics, forecast, competitors, trends, innovation within Single Malts, Rum, Blended Whiskey, American Whiskey and Gin and ad hoc across total alcohol industry e.g. Sherry and Vermouth
  • Delivering competitor insights – regular performance updates and overviews of innovation, portfolio and business development

Skills and Experience

To take on the challenge of this role you will be educated to degree level and will ideally have experience from a consumer insight role with experience of working on a combination of insight, positioning, digital analytics, and marketing effectiveness projects. You will have the ability to analyse, interpret and present data in an engaging and inspiring way, with the ability to identify conclusions and implications.  You will be well organised with strong project management skills with the confidence and gravitas to build strong working relationships both internally and externally.
