Position Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Manager/Senior Technology Relationship Manager supporting our Finance and Global Supply Chain divisions for 12 months (FTC). Reporting to the Head of Business Relationship Management, you will identify customer needs, their fit with Edrington’s strategic goals and how our Technology Products fulfil them.  The Product Manager is able to articulate what success looks like for every product used by Global Supply Chain and Finance and rallies the product teams to turn roadmaps into reality.

Job Description

As part of this role, you will be responsible for the following: 

  • Ensure a technology roadmap is agreed, prioritised and funded for all products relevant to GSC and Finance
  • Develops and communicates technology innovation and awareness programs.
  • Understands and communicates complex business requirements to the technology teams.
  • Takes the lead to develop strong strategic relationships with departments, serving as a liaison between the business stakeholders and the Business Technology organisation.
  • Acts as Product Owner and represent the business needs and interests within the Business Technology function
  • Develops and manages the relationship between Business Technology and internal and external partners
  • Lead and chair the Product Steering groups for Stock Management, Packing and Bottling, Ops and Financial Reporting, ERP, Budget and Logistics Planning, and Digital Workplace 
  • Chair and manage the Product backlog and sprint meetings.
  • Ensure that demands are clearly defined in scope, requirements and value proposition.
  • Identify target groups/regions, what change is required, what problem it will solve and when it is required.
  • Ensure requirements are understood.  Work with Business Analysts to develop and manage requirements throughout the lifecycle of the project. 
  • Ensure that requirements have a meaningful “Definition of Done” and that they are ultimately “fit” to join the Product backlog.
  • Translates business requirements to technology requirements, collaborating with subject matter experts.
  • Supports Key Users of the assigned business units in the definition of functional technology requirements
  • Influence stakeholders to work towards common goals and achieve strategic success.

Skills and Experience

To take on the challenge of this role you will be degree educated or equivalent with relevant demonstrable experience in business and functional disciplines, e.g., finance, supply chain management and/or experience working in technology.  You will have excellent technical knowledge, with strong business acumen in the FMCG space. Knowledge of scrum or other agile methodologies is highly desirable as is knowledge of ERP, BI, data and analytics.  To be successful you will have excellent presentation, communication and project management skills, with the ability to communicate complex problems in a non-technical and simplified manner.
