Embrace Excellence

The role will be primarily responsible for spearheading retail excellence including accountability on BA trainings, selling guidelines & stock management within India Travel Retail. The retail executive will fully support account managers, customer marketing manager’s commercial / marketing plan and ensure the highest standard of executions. The incumbent is required to work closely with customers (at store level) and 3rd party agencies at the same time as part of trade executions to achieve retail excellence at every touchpoint.

Make an Impact

  • Support India commercial team in executing channel plan that reflects the organizations global vision as a leading super premium spirit’s company.
  • Support Area Manager and customer marketing manager with NPD / activations launch through providing field executions / trade insights / ROI process.
  • Establish a solid database for India and partner with Commercial to provide reporting on, customers inventories, traffic by key locations, stock management, trade feedback and competitor information, supporting the team’s need in presentation and reporting.
  • Relationship building with customers (store teams) / agencies / BA team to gather trade info and seeking new opportunities to drive exceptional brand visibility within our brand portfolio. 
  • Retail executional excellence on all HPPs and long-term visibilities that includes promoter management and on-shelf management with all partners.
  • Work closely with Brand Education teams and support in drafting product training programs for trade partners.
  • Ensure our BAs on the ground understand and adhere to GTR selling guidelines and stock management through regular field visits / trainings / feedback sessions.
  • Support commercial / customer marketing team to plan and execute collaborative events with trade customers. Take the lead in trade coordination / execution.
  • Support account managers to manage in markets BA team to ensure the highest standards of in-store execution.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of trade activations, training programs and note key learnings for future references.

Your Talent and Skills

To succeed in this role, you will have a highly developed interpersonal skillset. You will be fluent in spoken and written English, ideally you have extensive experience in a retail management or trade marketing function within the consumer goods industry. You hold a proven track record of commercial acumen and with an in-depth knowledge of sales operations .Solid analytical skills with the ability to collect, model and interpret data. Key stakeholder management with excellent collaborative skills both internally and externally. You are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. You deliver strongly against annual targets and KPIs. Achievement of mid to long-term milestones (activation, training, visibility and trade engagement). Consistent forward and strategic thinking and execution to contribute towards long term vision. Consistently builds and maintains a collaborative and positive team dynamic.
