The Brand Trainer is responsible for driving our brands knowledge and confidence within the On and Off trade in the designated region by delivering best-in-class brand education, trade engagement and training programmes

The role holder is required to collaborate work closely with Commercial Team and Brand Ambassadors to understand the segmentation for the accounts in the market and activate where The Macallan and Highland Park is present to drive brand engagement.

The Brand Trainer acts as the custodian of brand knowledge, ensuring that distributors, trade partners, hospitality professionals, and key consumers understand and champion Edrington portfolio.

Make an Impact

  • Deliver bespoke education for The Macallan and Highland Park range and build elevated brand confidence within priority trade accounts and local wholesalers, inspiring brand advocacy and ensuring front of mind presence.
  • Introduce The Macallan and Highland Park releases to all accounts where applicable, in accordance with our NPD Launch calendars.
  • In conjunction with the Brand Ambassador, identify opportunities of brand presence in the area and build advocacy by knowledge transfer And build a network of brand advocates within influential trade accounts.
  • Provide regular updates to local marketing and commercial teams on The Macallan performance in the On and Off trades and competition activities. 
  • Assist the Key Accounts team in building relationships and the trust of key decision makers (e.g., beverage directors, buyers, and leading bar staff).
  • Help in creating  The Macallan serve strategy for Prestige expressions and rituals to priority On Trade accounts with Brand Ambassadors.
  • Work with the marketing team to implement a range of marketing activations and communications that are in line with brand DNA and objectives.
  • Report on trade activity through Aforza and identify the share of Recommendation through on/off trade initiatives.

Your Talent and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in commercial, trade, or training roles, ideally within prestige brands, along with a strong understanding of the luxury market, particularly in relation to distribution and route-to-market strategies. You will possess excellent communication skills, demonstrating tact and diplomacy when dealing with external stakeholders, and be a self-driven individual with strong organizational and prioritization abilities.Representatives of our brands are expected to demonstrate professionalism, confidence, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience, supported by strong commercial awareness and business acumen. Experience of working within an international organization would also be advantageous.
