The Area Manager manages all aspects of the assigned territory, by leading their team to build long-term brand value. Key pillars of the position include elevating The Macallan, developing the next breakout brand, and growing our core business organically. Success in the position will deliver (or over-deliver) against defined annual P&L goals and continued exceptional growth of the Edrington brands with focus and discipline. The Area Manager will also play a key role in building relationships with trade and consumers along with distributor partner to shape the business in their territory.
Make an Impact
- Lead regional growth through team leadership, distributor management, and key account engagement.
- Deliver Edrington's strategy across channels, driving brand performance, market execution, and commercial results.
- Build strong distributor partnerships, ensuring alignment to business priorities, resource allocation, and execution excellence.
- Drive brand growth through effective marketing activation, customer engagement, pricing management, and identifying new opportunities.
- Monitor performance, analyse ROI, and leverage insights to optimise investment and results.
- Manage territory P&L, delivering depletion, profit, and brand value targets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution of commercial, marketing, supply chain, and DTC strategies.
- Ensure compliance, exceptional customer service, and adherence to brand standards.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
Your Talent and Skills
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong distributor management experience, including pricing and 3-tier system knowledge.
- Understanding of On- and Off-Premise channels.
- Sales and marketing experience with strong knowledge of marketing strategy.
- Excellent coaching, stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Commercially astute with the ability to analyse complex business challenges and drive results.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to navigate complexity and work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and syndicated data tools (e.g., Nielsen, IRI).
- Positive, entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of developing others.
- Valid driver's licence, eligible to work in the US, and at least 21 years old.
- Must reside in Los Angeles, CA and be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
