The Marketing Executive supports the Senior Brand Manager in taking the brand to the next level by strengthening the prestige leadership of our brands, such as The Macallan, as we establish The Macallan as an incomparable symbol of craftsmanship and creativity in Hong Kong and breakthrough with Estate Brands, Highland Park and The Glenrothes.  

The role responsibilities include supporting the Brand team with the localisation, dissemination and deployment of marketing communication assets and materials as well as supporting on administrative marketing work such as preparation of NPD materials, new visibility POS and brand updates with a focus on reporting and tracking ROI. This role operates with high attention to detail to deliver marketing and execution excellence, and team collaboration to ensure seamless execution and operation on ground.

Make an Impact

Exceptional Brand Building

  • Contribute to developing growth plans that support and advance The Macallan brand, attracting new consumers
  • Execute The Macallan's brand marketing strategies and tools to drive sustainable growth in volume and profitability
  • Ensure outstanding execution of brand campaigns, assets, and programs

Marketing Communication Campaigns and Activations

  • Assist Assistant and Senior Brand Managers with product launches to generate PR, increase brand awareness, and engage target consumers
  • Create compelling content for diverse platforms, including social media, newsletters, websites, and internal communications, in collaboration with the CRM and Brand Advocacy teams
  • Develop and distribute localized Press Releases in partnership with agencies
  • Monitor and report on media coverage, analyze PR campaign effectiveness, and prepare regular reports
  • Adapt global guidelines for impactful local implementation
  • Support the creation of creative and activation briefs
  • Collaborate with local agencies to develop and deliver initiatives

Collaboration

  • Work with the Assistant Brand Manager to implement marketing plans
  • Partner with Trade Marketing and Retail teams to deliver integrated campaigns and ensure excellent execution
  • Engage internal teams to promote awareness of plans and brand activities, ensuring successful implementation of brand strategies

Activations Reporting & Insight

  • Assist in gathering and analyzing brand data to provide insights on brand activities, activation performance, ROI, and key learnings
  • Utilize insights to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of local programs
  • Prepare activation reports, track A&P expenditures and ROI, and monitor expenses to maintain cost-effective marketing programs

Operation and Administration Excellence

  • Support administrative marketing tasks such as preparing NPD materials, updating new visibility POS and brand assets, and maintaining activation records and reports
  • Assist team operations with stock issuance, logistics coordination, finance and invoice processing, and other marketing administrative duties

Your Talent and Skills

Knowledge, Skills & Core Competencies Required 

  • Solid understanding of marketing, communications and digital execution
  • Preferably demonstrate passion about spirit products and love to interact and engage with target consumers about our brands
  • Impeccable organisational skills with a resilient, positive mental attitude
  • Adaptability to business priorities & potential changes in activation and communication requirements
  • Ambitious and driven, with a proactive way of working and ability to work remotely and independently from stakeholders and colleagues in a matrix organization
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese

Experience & Qulaifications

  • Degree educated (or equivalent relevant industry tenure and experience in Alcobev/FMCG Marketing of Food/Drink roles), preferably in Marketing or Business
  • Preferably with at least 2+ years’ relevant marketing experience
  • Ideally experience working for an alcoholic drink brand or luxury/premium brand
