The Head Bartender at The Macallan Estate will work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and Assistant Managers to lead an exceptional team of professional F&B front of house to deliver a luxury food and beverage experience, across The Macallan Estate, as expected from The Macallan, which includes the TimeSpirit, Bar, Easter Elchies House, Ghillies House, as well as all event business.
The Head Bartender will support the Food and Beverage Manager in setting the standards of delivery and ensuring they are met, whilst creating and curating cocktail menus and serves for a global audience. A senior member of Food & Beverage department as well as the wider experience team; demonstrating flair and passion for the role and inspiring leadership will ensure exceptional world class 5-Star service is delivered, always.
Make an Impact
- Working with the F&B Manager to train, guide, and coach the team to increase the standard of service and develop teamwork and working closely with the creative team to inspire, create, and implement the drinks strategy for The Macallan Globally.
- Assist in the creation, development, and implementation of TimeSpirit drinks strategy. Ensuring all business updates are considered and included in Bar and TimeSpirit offering. Assist with the creation and delivery of the Food & Beverage SOP’s.
- Line management responsibility for Food & Beverage hosts and assistants, ensuring the team consistently deliver impeccable knowledge and service in line with the SOP and brand guidelines. Agree and implement actions to continuously improve guest satisfaction and guest experience.
- Responsible for all Bar reservations, ensuring that The Macallan Bar delivers an incomparable consumption experience of The Macallan.
- Act as an ambassador for The Estate and provide in-market support for the brand.
- Assist with stock control and stock movement, ensuring all correct procedures are adhered to and taking ownership of stock ordering.
Your Talent and Skills
You will have experience in working in a 5-star hospitality environment, with experience of supervisory or management experience. You will be passionate about mixology and the art of creating exceptional drinks, holding a WSET Level 2 qualification. A natural at leading and inspiring, you will be an effective communicator and deliver outstanding customer service.
We are looking for someone with a keen eye for attention to detail and who can thrive under pressure, being able to confidently present to groups of guests and ensuring a 5-star memorable experience
