Embrace Excellence

The Engineering Administrator provides comprehensive administrative support to the Engineering department which includes Process, Site and Project teams.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager North, the role is responsible for coordinating departmental administration, maintaining engineering records and documentation, supporting maintenance and project activities, and ensuring the efficient operation of engineering systems and processes.The role acts as a key point of contact for engineers, contractors/ suppliers and stakeholders, supporting the delivery of safe, compliant and effective engineering services.

Make an Impact

  • Provide efficient administrative support to the Engineering Manager, Engineering team and wider stakeholders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant and accessible engineering documentation.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors and suppliers to support engineering operations and ensure clear communication and prioritisation.
  • Support the coordination of engineering activities, systems, reporting, compliance and procurement processes.
  • Coordinate meetings, agendas, minutes and action tracking.
  • Prepare and distribute team briefing packs
  • Maintain engineering records, databases and filing systems.
  • Support contractor documentation and site administration.
  • Assist with CMMS administration, PPM scheduling, statutory inspections and contractor information management.
  • Produce KPI reports, presentations and departmental updates.
  • Raise purchase requisitions, contracts and purchase orders in SAP.
  • Support goods receipt, invoice processing, purchasing cards and vendor onboarding.
  • Support audits, inspections, Management of Change documentation and engineering compliance activities.
  • Assist with project administration, including document control, action logs and project trackers.

Your Talent and Skills

 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with key internal stakeholders and third parties.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in maintaining records, trackers and generation of management reports
  • Strong numerical and data handling skills
  • A high level of PC literacy, covering key business systems

In addition, the following skills/experience are desirable:

  • Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, maintenance or project environment
  • Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Experience of working with document control systems and processes
  • Experience supporting engineering, maintenance or project teams
  • Understanding of engineering terminology and maintenance planning activities
  • Experience of contractor and supplier management
