Remuneration and Package

  • Salary £27,000 per annum

Position Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the kitchen team within the Macallan Estate Experience.  As Chef de Partie at The Macallan Estate you will work closely with the Sous Chef to always deliver consistent 5-star service standards, as well as the highest quality of food.  Working within a passionate kitchen team with multi-Michelin star experience as an already an accomplished Chef de Partie with a huge passion for preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within your specialty section. You would be expected to have an elevated level of diligence and the ability to work without close supervision.

Job Description

Reporting to the Head Chef, key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting high quality dishes within the kitchen
  • Preparing meat and fish
  • Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
  • Monitoring portion and waste control
  • Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety
  • Ensuring full compliance of all food hygiene and health and safety regulations including HACCP, COSHH and all other distillery related due diligence and controls.


Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role you will have knowledge and ability to run a section.  Ability to work without supervision and produce good quality food in given section.  Ability to manage Commis Chefs.  Good interpersonal skills with both kitchen, front of house staff and management.  Working knowledge of safe food handling and food rotation.  Demonstrate a friendly and professional approach.  Be literate, numerate and have problem solving skills.  Be enthusiastic about developing own skills and knowledge.
